Project Integration Management

Project Integration management is one of the important jobs of project manager. There are 6 processes in this Knowledge area. This Knowledge area has at least one process in each process group. This is very important to remember that Project integration management actually integrates all other knowledge areas/processes. Project initiates in this knowledge area, then the management Plan which is develops actually consist of other knowledge areas subsidiary plans, base line and methodologies. Project manager's overall direct and managing project works happens here also Monitoring and controlling that happens here is actually monitoring other knowledge area's M&C. If you observe closely the input to M& C project work is usually the output of say Control Cost, scope etc. Also if Project needs any change PM must perform Integrated change control which is also a part of this knowledge area.
