Conditions

Command will be setup in a conference room across the parking lot from the lodge. The conference room will need to have wireless Internet, radios and antennas installed. Tables and chairs are available on request. Only those on duty or with business can stay at command because noise will need to be moderated. The owner’s daughter has an apartment next door and the room is normally not available after 5PM.

The southeast corner of the main lodge has a large facility called the Lodge Home Suite under the big cupola. Upstairs the Home Suite offers 3 bedrooms with individual queen beds, game room with 4 day beds, single person each not in a private bedroom setting, two half baths and flat screen TV. Downstairs is one full bathroom, spacious elegant equipped kitchen, rock fireplace, living area, dining table and chairs for 20, fiber optic internet, cable TV, large flat screen TV/DVD player and air conditioning.

The Home Suite also has two additional attached suites on the main level; Home Suite North (HSN) and Home Suite South (HSS). HSN and HSS feature entrances from the common area and private entrances, 2 queen beds, mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, dinnerware, fiber optic internet, cable TV, large flat screen TV/DVD, and full bathroom. Air conditioned, access to courtyard.

There is third suite as part of the Home Suite called the Eileen Suite. The Eileen Suite is the private tower suite for 2 persons, stone fireplace, queen sleigh bed, master bathroom with slipper tub, full bath/shower, stained glass décor, large flat screen TV/DVD. Treat yourself like royalty in this spacious turret suite. Air conditioned, access to courtyard.

The Home Suite, Eileen Suite, HSN and HSS are detached from the rest of the lodge so noise is not a huge issue (won’t disturb other guests). There is plenty of space to hang out there and watch TV, talk, prepare food and eat.

Across the breezeway to the north (behind the office) is an apartment called the Eagle’s Nest. It has a small kitchen and dining table on the main floor. Upstairs it offers 2 bedrooms with queen beds, new modern sofa sleepers in the living area, (1 queen, 2 twin), fiber optic internet, propane fireplace, air conditioned, cable TV, Large flat screen TV/DVD player and full bathroom.

The accommodations will be part of a large single purchase and available to team members who sign up in advance.

Dinner is supplied Friday night and Saturday morning for the runners and staff.

The Just Plain Grocery and Gas and Plain Hardware are immediately next to the lodge to the north. Beyond this, Leavenworth has a Safeway and much more. Wenatchee has most every service available, including a large Walmart.

Communications

Generally all VHF channels can be monitored with a combination of radios and three large external antennas. This allows simplex communications anywhere on loop 2 and communications with Tommy, Lake Creek and Tyee via repeater. Be aware Lake Creek can only be worked via Nanum when they point a yagi at the hillside.
