Checkpoints

The Plain 100 course consists of two loops. The original course started and ended at Thousand Trails. In 2011 the headquarters was moved to the Lake Wenatchee Rec Club and the start/finish was moved to Deep Creek. The course now starts by running to Thousand Trails, touching the stairs and returning though Deep Creek to Maverick Saddle. This maintains the course length but added 30-45 minutes to each of the individual checkpoint times but is accurate again at the Deep Creek finish.

Starting in 2014 the race includes both the standard 100+ mile course and a 100K option that consists of just the first loop. The addition of the 100K won't change anything but the number of runners on the first loop and the way times are reported.

A high resolution map of the course can be found in the Team Files area.

The following pages include information that support teams will need to operate from each of the checkpoints.

Checkpoint staff times are approximate. Start times may move earlier or later based on the lead runner(s) times. Some change is clear by the time the first runners reach North Tommy. Finish times are generally the last runner plus at least 30 minutes to be sure they don't change their mind and attempt to return and drop.
