Measuring Refractive Index and Dispersion (Abbe No) using a Hilger V Block Refractometer.
This is an unusual instrument which measures to a much higher precision than usual. It was designed for Chance Optical Glass makers and is more correctly known as the Hilger Chance instrument. Because the method is not well known it will pay to use the program which explains much. I should also place a document on file of the Instrument which is almost a Museum Piece. The Program will aid you to keep records, especially of the individual V Blocks with their individual Parameters.
