Fire Hydrants:
There are 5 standard municipal fire hydrants in the subdivision as shown by blue dots on the map above
There are also 5 standpipes supplied by 2" pipe. They are indicated on the map, specifically located as follows:
Standpipe 1 – by John Matto’s driveway – Turned on with gate valve tool stored at reservoir
Standpipe 2 – in trees at Hilderman's corner below fence - 6020 Pine Ridge Rd
Standpipe 3 – at front corner of Loutit and Pangburn lot in the trees.
Standpipe 4 – 40 ft below filter/treatment building. Use equipment from the treatment building here.
Standpipe 5 – fitted with adapter for fire hose but no equipment stationed there. This is located to the right of Elliott's driveway entrance at the end of the road. Use equipment from the equipment storage shed.
In the event of fire – Call 911. See if our hoses and equipment can be of any assistance. Call any Board member, take action yourself and/or call Dave (353-9647) to get lake pumps turned on and bypass filters if necessary for maximum water delivery. This must be done at the Treatment Building. It may also be necessary to to turn off the gate valve on the floor of the reservoir pumphouse.
If there is no normal hydro, there is a propane generator near the lake that can be used in extreme emergencies to run both lake pumps, bypassing filtration system.
Each System building has rooftop sprinklers systems which can be activated if necessary.
