Kennedy half dollars

Introduced in 1964 in response to President Kennedy's assassination, a subject trending in the news with the release of classified, secret JFK files and documents from the Warren commission regarding the shooting. Current date Kennedy half dollars are only available directly from the mint in rolls or bags and other mint products such as proof sets or uncirculated coin sets. Your bank may have rolls available and many people search them for the 1964 90% silver or the 40% ones, dated 1965 thru 70. To mark the 50th anniversary, the mint issued special sets and even a gold Kennedy half dollar.
