Welcome to the Pawpaw Planet web-site and Pawpaw Planet Facebook page. Their purpose is to help people grow the asimina triloba species of the North American pawpaw on a worldwide scale. Pawpaw trees are generally viable wherever apple trees do well, and apple trees can be found on every continent.

Pawpaw is in the tropical custard-apple family, and ironically pawpaw is only found in temperate-climates. Pawpaw-fruit has a uniquely delicious tropical-flavor along with more nutrition than any other fruit in the world. It's also North America's largest native-fruit with some varieties averaging more than 1/2 pound (230 gram)!

The fruit is marketable and it freezes exceptionally well, but the fresh-fruits have a short shelf-life. On the other hand, the fresh-fruits can disappear rather quickly as they're sought out by wildlife and pawpaw enthusiasts. We hope you enjoy the presentation and happy pawpaw-growing in your part of the world!
