No running or chicken fights (on shoulders of others); no rough play.
No large floats. (Compromises safety by obstructing lifeguard view of swimmers.)
Diving permitted only in the deep end of the pool.
Please do not move tables and/or chairs from their placement on the pool deck.
Only Park Valley Pool employees and those authorized by the CPO or pool president allowed in the Snack Shack and pump/chemical rooms.
No profanity, threatening or hostile language allowed.
Changing clothes, including children should only be done in the PVP bathrooms.
Dirty diapers should not be changed on tables or chairs - please use the bathrooms, which are equipped with benches for that purpose.
Swim diapers or cloth diapers and rubber pants should be used for any child not potty trained
No bicycles, skateboards, heelies, rollerblades or Ripsticks allowed.
No food or drink within 3 feet of the pool (on the painted blue section.)
No glass on pool property (danger for cutting feet, if broken.). This includes glass bottles, mason jars, diving masks or storage containers. If glass is broken near the pool, it must be shut down, drained and cleaned. This will result in the pool being out of service for several days at a cost of >$2,000.00. There is zero tolerance for glass of any kind within the pool fence.
Children 6 years or younger only in the baby pool.
The refrigerator and freezer in the "Guard Shack" are for storing items for sale for the pool and are not available for storing personal food or party items for Park Valley members and guests.
There will be a 15 "rest break" called at the :45 minute mark of each hour the pool is in operation. Lifeguards are not on duty during the rest break.
No one under 16 years of age in the pool – nor within blue lines surrounding the pool - during the required, hourly, 15-minute rest break.
No loitering or loud music in parking lot.
No pets allowed.
No one under the influence of alcohol or drugs allowed on premises.
No one with any communicable disease, or skin, eye, ear, or nasal infection permitted in the poo
The immediate response to any incident of fecal matter and/or vomitus accident in the water will be to close the pool and not allow anyone to re-enter until the CPO (Certified Pool Operator) has declared the pool to be decontaminated. Should such an incident occur, members should notify a lifeguard immediately.
If there is lightening or thunder while open, in accordance with the American Red Cross guidelines the pool & deck will be cleared immediately & will not reopen until 30 minutes have elapsed since the last lightning or sound of thunder. The lifeguards are authorized to make the decision regarding thunder or lightning conditions.
Rising 8th graders and older (ONLY) permitted at the pool without adult supervision if there is a lifeguard on duty. If a lifeguard is not on duty, only 16 year olds may be left at the pool without adult supervision.
Guests are required to complete the guest registration and to pay the required per-person entry fee before entering the pool ($5/person). A Park Valley Pool member must be present with their sponsored guest at all times. No exceptions to this rule!
The Park Valley Pool guest policy is not meant to be a substitute for a pool membership. The Park Valley Pool board reserves the right to refuse access to guests who attend the pool regularly enough to warrant a membership. Inactive PVP members may visit the pool as a guest only twice per pool season.
A Small Family Membership to Park Valley Pool is only intended for a 2 person family. If your family is larger than 2 people, you must purchase a regular Family Membership, even if the additional family members do not intend to visit the pool. You may still bring guests with a small family membership as per our guest policy.
Materials (signs, art, banners or pamphlets) of a political, religious or social nature are not permitted at Park Valley Pool. The pool is a safe space for all and we wish to avoid any conflicts over "hot topics." We want your experience at Park Valley Pool to be stress-free and relaxing.
Management reserves the right to deny use of the pool to anyone at any time.
Use of the pool is at your own risk. Owners and management are not responsible for injuries.
