Inclement Weather Policy

Park Valley Pool follows the National Weather Service recommendation as well as the American Red Cross recommendation regarding outdoor safety during periods of thunder and lightning.  If lightning and/or thunder is in the area, the pool and deck will be cleared and kept closed until 30 minutes have elapsed from the last sight of lightning or sound of thunder.  If inclement conditions persist and are not expected to end (according to local weather and radar sources) the pool can be closed for the day, or the remainder of the day, at the board's discretion.
