Park Valley Pool is a member-owned cooperative pool governed by a Board of Directors consisting of 9 active members in good standing: 4 officers and 5 at-large members.
Board seats are on a rotating, three-year term which begins each year following elections at the Annual Membership Meeting in August as specified in the Park Valley By-Laws, Article IV, Section 1. Board members may be elected to a board position for the remaining time for that seat. The purpose of rotating terms is to prevent the entire board from refreshing at once in a given year.
Members of the Park Valley Board of Directors are expected to be active (see Article IV, Section 1) and should chair one of our committees (membership, activities, community outreach, snack shack and social media). Candidates for a seat should have their certificate of membership fully paid and be current on their dues for the given year.
The Park Valley Board of Directors is actively recruiting for the following Board of Directors positions:
Please contact Alan Forrest at ncparkvalleypool@gmail.com if you have any interest in joining the PVP board. We need members to step up and take an active role in supporting the direction and administration of the pool.
