"Rodelo Manaog was another bright young man, a natural activist leader, who disappeared under the Marcos dictatorship.
Rodelo (“Delo”) was consistently at the top of his class in grade school and graduated class valedictorian in 1972. He took his first three years of high school at the prestigious Philippine Science High School. He was the first to come from Mauban, Quezon. He completed his fourth year at the MLQU High School. He then enrolled for college at the Luzonian State University (now Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation) in Lucena City, where he became involved in various activities, an active member of the university student council and staff member of the school organ, The Luzonian.
... Delo eventually left school and became a labor organizer with the Institute For Workers Leadership and Development in Laguna, and also known the National Federation of Labor Unions. Before he disappeared in June 1984, Delo had been noticing that he was constantly under surveillance. Friends last saw him inside a store at the UPLB campus.
After Delo disappeared, relatives and friends organized a campaign to look for him. They held pickets in front of military camps. But Delo was never found. The military has denied any involvement. Delo’s family and friends remain convinced that the military was responsible for his disappearance."

"Ang pagtuligsa sa isang sistema o pamahalaan ay nararapat kung hindi ito nagiging tapat sa dapat sana’y tungkulin nito sa lipunan…
