Barb Knowlton
Email: happykensi1@gmail.com Phone: 865-803-3077
Barb has loads of experience training a variety of dogs. She first started training for household obedience, then progressed to competition in obedience, hunt tests, agility, dock diving, field trials, frisbee, and now herding. She has also worked with service dogs through Canine Companions for Independence out of Florida.
Barb says her first competitive Lab, Baxter, taught her a lot over the years! Those of you that knew Baxter could probably add a chuckle or two here as you remember back! She presently owns three labs; Kylie, Chandler and Chapel, and recently added a border collie, Kensi, to the mix. Kylie, at 10.5 years old has completed her MACH 8 in Agility, has been ranked in the top 10 labs for 6 years, and has qualified for the Agility Nationals for the past 6 years. Chandler enjoys hunting and Frisbee the most and was trained to be a service dog. Chapel is at the Excellent level in Agility, and loves all venues he tries. All her Labs have an AKC Junior Hunt title. Kensi, now 3, is at the excellent level in agility, and loves Frisbee and herding.
"One thing I remind myself and others is to have fun with your dogs in whatever you chose to do with them. They can take you on quite a journey!"
