This class is designed for those interested in teaching their puppies how to be successful socially and in the home. You will begin by being introduced to all the basic obedience commands. This is a treat/toy driven class. Bring a 6-foot leash, favorite toys, and soft treats. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear as you may do some light jogging with your dog.
Bring a small notebook and pen/pencil.

Super Puppy is for puppies ages 5 months to under 12 months. This class is a positive play-based training class using toy, treat and physical rewards. Motivational games will be used to train basic concepts and desired behaviors. Basic obedience, manners, socialization, appropriate puppy exercise and tricks may be covered in this class.
Supplies: Plenty of small, soft high value (to the dog) treats. Water and a bowl. A toy your dog likes. A dog brush or comb. Four to Six foot leash. No flexi (retractable) leads or slip leads please. Poop bags for clean up.Class Dates: Thursdays beginning January 25th, 2018, or as soon as class has enough registrants to begin.
Class Start Time: 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Class Duration: 6 weeks
Class Fees: $120. There is an additional $15 materials fee to take the STAR Puppy test which is payable the last day of class. Pay by check (Payable to PACK) or cash at first class.
Prerequisites: Pups must be within the described age range and be comfortable around other dogs and humans. Pups should be appropriately vaccinated as recommended by your veterinarian. Pups six months of age and over must have been vaccinated for rabies as per Tennessee law.
Age Requirements: 5 months to under 12 months. Some exceptions may be made at the discretion of the instructor.
Why is this class important? This class continues your pup’s education in becoming a pleasurable family member and safe and well-behaved member of society. It will also provide an excellent foundation for dogs and handlers wishing to continue in training and participate in canine performance sports.

Advanced Beginner Obedience continues your dog’s education from beginner obedience.
In advanced beginners we will begin work on heeling skills, more reliable recalls, and longer stays. We will also introduce fronts and finishes. Skills learned in this class will help prepare teams for beginning levels of competition obedience, rally, and more.

Class Dates: Thursdays beginning January 25th, 2018, or as soon as class has enough registrants to begin.

Class Duration: 6 weeks

Prerequisites: Beginner Obedience or Super Puppy or equivalent or permission of instructor. Dogs should know basic skills and be able to walk politely on a loose lead.
Age Requirements: 6 months and older.
Why is this class important? Advanced Beginners will “tighten up” beginner skills and make them more reliable. It will also prepare teams for success in further performance sports training.

Canine Good Citizen: Register at: front2finish@gmail.com

Class Description: Canine Good Citizen (CGC) covers behaviors and skills necessary for your dog to be certified by the American Kennel Club as a Canine Good Citizen and is also a “title” that can be added to your dog’s name on completion /passing of the CGC test. This class covers many skills necessary for your dog to be an acceptable member of society and includes social skills, manners around dogs and humans, obedience behaviors and more.
Supplies: Plenty of small, soft high value treats. Your dog’s brush or comb. Four to Six foot leash. No flexi (retractable) leads or slip leads please. Poop bags for clean up.
Class Dates: Classes begin Thursday, January 25th, 2018 or when class has enough registrants to begin.
Class Time: 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Class Duration: 6 weeks
Class Fees: $120. There is also a $15 materials fee for taking the CGC test payable on the last night of class. Pay by check (Payable to PACK) or cash at first class.
Prerequisites: Beginner Obedience, Super Puppy, or equivalent or permission of instructor. Dogs should know sit, down, beginning “stay” and be comfortable around other dogs and humans.
Age Requirements: 5 months and up. Some exceptions may be made at the discretion of the instructor.
Why is this class important? CGC is a good start in order to train your dog to be a welcome member of the community and be a responsible dog owner. CGC skills are a good basis for further training and may even be required by some organizations such as therapy dog groups in order participate. Some rental properties require that tenant’s dogs have passed the CGC test and some insurance companies may lower rates related to dog ownership if dogs on your property have passed this test.

Trick Dog 1 is a fun and motivating class for almost any dog and a great bonding experience between dog and handler. You will learn to train your dog many basic and some more advanced tricks including all the AKC “Novice” level tricks required to earn a Trick Dog title. We will use multiple props, play games and have a great time!

Class Dates: Thursdays beginning January 25th, 2018, or as soon as class has enough registrants to begin.

Class Duration: 6 weeks
Class Fees: $120. There is an additional $15 materials and testing fee the last day of class if you choose to take the AKC trick dog test or tests for a title. (Not required)

Prerequisites: Beginner Obedience or Super Puppy or equivalent or permission of instructor. Dogs should know sit and down and should be able to walk politely on a loose lead. Dogs for this class must be comfortable around other dogs and humans.
Age Requirements: 6 months and older.
Why is this class important? Trick training can form a stronger bond between dog and handler. Many trick behaviors trained can be used as foundation behaviors for other dog performance sports. And, of course, it’s FUN!!!
