Koji Kagotani

Koji Kagotani is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics, Osaka University of Economics. He was awarded a Ph.D. from the Department of Political Science at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in June 2010. He was an assistant professor at the Department of Political Science, Trinity College, Dublin and a visiting scholar at the Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies, Kobe University. Kojis teaching experience includes a variety of courses in international relations and research methods. For courses in international relations, he emphasizes the importance of theories to examine the causal mechanism behind political events and connect the theories to current policy debates. For courses in political methodology, he uses visualization to help the students understand theoretical concepts.
