Located on 24th & Brown St was a recreational center for teens in the neighborhood. A place where they could get together.
Edgemont Action/Community Center: After the resident known as the John Anderson Store and a Private Resident, it became the Edgemont Action/Community Center under Mrs Ernestine Watlington.
Edgemont Recreation Association: Was organized and incorporated in September 1967,It evolved from a Mother's Club which was concerned about the lack of recreation for the youth in Edgemont. Mrs Oscar Daniels worked with the Mother's Club and Mrs Spencer Nauman to bring a swimming pool for neighborhood youth. The ground breaking for the swimming pool took place in August 1968. The Association went through many changes in the 1970's and 1980's and ended
