Edgemont Action/Community Center: John Anderson Store and a Private Resident, it became the Edgemont Action/Community Center under Mrs Ernestine Watlington.
Edgemont Community Civic Club was the home for all of the community meetings and events from the 1920's to 1940's. It was sold to the Goods/Edgemont Mennonite Church in the 1954
Keep Clean Committee Club: Organized in September 1971 by Mrs Ruby Broughton, Mr Wilbert Mangus, and Mrs Herbert and Hazel Toombs. The purpose of the Club was to keep the entire community clean. They concerned themselves with everything from trash on the streets to old broken down cars and trucks.
Locust Lane Park Civic Club: Was chartered in the Common Pleas Court of Dauphin County organized in March 1961 by Mr John E Clark. Its purpose was to better the social relationship between Edgemont citizen and the township, and inspire the interest of all citizens of the community in their civic and social welfare. The club disbanded about 1970.
Edgemont Community Improvement Association: Was organized and chartered on February 27, 1970. The purpose was to assist residents of Edgemont to make use of water and sewage services, to undertake projects for the betterment of the community; to combat community deterioration and make other community improvements for the benefit of families and individuals in the area. Later the Charter was amended to read: To operate exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, including relief of the poor by combating community deterioration and by safeguarding public health with in the community of Edgemont.
In 1985: The Senior Citizen Program was started with meals prepared every day and a Food Bank twice a month. Both Programs has ended.
