Gloria Sloan and her class, taken against the glass block windows back when the playground was grass.

Best guess this is the class of 1965. Penny Usher is the third girl in the first row and Carolyn Kolp the last girl, with the Heifner twins identically dressed in the first row.

Mrs. Sloan lived on Freer Court - her husband was a salesman at Bennett Lumber out on Route 42.

Form follows function on the 1949 Addition, illustrated by these brick columns which enclose downspouts from the roof of the gym.

This lone pine tree will not survive the demolition. It is the last of a grove of pines on this side of the building. We used to park our bicycles under these trees. On a nice day there were up to a hundred students who rode to school, many did not even put a lock on their bicycle and nobody chained theirs to a tree. It was a different era.
