Technically two days of shooting as after the first three shots on January 23rd my battery went dead. I returned two days later for the remaining photos. The 4th Street side of the school is where we used to mill about after school waiting for our buses home, often for 30-40 minutes rain or shine.
Since most of us came and went by school bus the 4th street entrance was the busiest and by far the one with which I was most familiar. In touring the school many times in 2015 I was struck by the unfamiliarity of the front entrance. The only other entrance I used frequently was the southeastern one as it was the closest to downtown Ashland. Note the gray board on the left side of the above photo, that was an exit out onto a rusting metal fire escape platform for many decades until the platform either fell off or torn down.
I thought the sign amusing at this stage. Note the reflection of the guy standing by the door of the old Congregational Church across the street. I did not notice him in or out of the shot, didn't the movie "Blow-Up" have such a premise? Unlike Osborn the contractor doing the demo of the old Junior High is taking their time and salvaging a lot of the stone work.
So that's what it looks like inside the girls' rest room.
