Children from the Royal Wolverhampton School clear the area in Tettenhall churchyard around the family vault of the school's founder, Mr John Lees. Saturday was the school's Founders Day.

Mr Lees Started the school with his own money 125 years ago after a typhoid epidemic ravaged the town and left many of the children orphaned.

On Saturday pupils and old boys commemorated the event with a service of remembrance and thanks in the school chapel. Junior school pupils took part in a pageant of the life of Mr Lees.
