Open University Tennis Club

Welcome to the Open University Tennis Club website.

The OU Tennis Club is based at the Open University campus at Walton Hall, Milton Keynes and has four floodlit hard courts with changing and shower facilities in the adjacent Sports Pavilion.  These courts are locked and only available for Tennis Club members' use.

We are affiliated to the OU Club and operate, according to the Club Constitution, under the direction of an elected Committee which co-ordinates Club activities and league matches.

The OU Tennis Club is not a public club. Membership is restricted to OU staff and full time postgraduate students and their families.  A small and strictly limited number of Associate memberships is available to people outside the OU.  These are reserved for people with some connection to the OU, or those whom the OUTC Committee deems will bring something to the club, over and above simply being a member, such as the ability and willingness to play in one of our teams if we cannot find enough team players from within our OU membership.

Membership of the OUTC brings a number of benefits, including the right to book and play on the Open University tennis courts, play for teams, join in Club sessions and take part in coaching sessions organised and subsidised by the Club. Membership subscriptions provide the Club with the funds necessary to maintain court consumables such as nets.

For details about how to join the Club, see our Membership page.
