Booking courts
Until further notice, the OU tennis courts will remain locked and only OU Tennis Club members may book courts (see Membership page for information on how to join the Club).
To use the courts you must book in advance and you must use the online booking system (please do not attempt to use the booking system if you are not already a member; you will not be able to access it and if you click on the link to request access your request will be ignored).
The booking system will also give you the current code to unlock the combination padlock on the entrance to the courts. Members will be responsible for unlocking and locking the courts before and after playing.
Please note:
Any new member who joins the Club will be given access to the booking system as soon as their membership application has been processed. You do not need to request access.
The above link to the booking system is not made live for you until you have confirmed that you have read the Risk Assessment document that has been produced by the Club. You can do this by ticking the relevant box in the membership application form when you apply to join the club.
Please note that in order to access the booking system , you need to have a Google account and to provide us with the email address associated with that Google account. This email address will be used to give you access to the booking system (this will be for administrative purposes only and your details will not be visible to other members).
Using the booking system
Courts may be booked up to one month in advance. Please enter your full name in the online booking sheet in case your booking needs to be cancelled for some reason (e.g. court maintenance). Without a full name, the committee will not be able to contact you to let you know.
Matches always take precedence over general court bookings. Whilst every effort is made to ensure that courts for matches are booked well in advance this is not always possible. With the unreliability of the weather and the pressure to re-arrange rained-off matches it is sometimes necessary to use a court that is already pre-booked by a member – if this should occur then the member concerned will be notified.
Courts may not be booked by a member for the sole use of non-members, i.e. at least one club member must be playing on court. Otherwise a member may book a single court for as many sessions as they wish, except between the peak period of 12 noon to 2 pm Mondays to Fridays, when they may only book one peak session per day, regardless of whether it is for a game of singles or doubles.
Please refer to the Location of courts page for information about how to access the campus, where to park, and where to find the changing rooms and the courts.
