2nd ANNUAL SMITHE TRACK & FIELD INVITATIONAL

Aloha! and welcome to the 2nd Annual LHS Smithe Invitational. We celebrate good sportsmanship/character and our school’s motto of “ LEADERSHIP, HUMILITY & SERVICE” Good luck to all participants!
Hosts: Leilehua (Lead), Mililani, Waialua
Participating Schools: Leilehua, Mililani, Campbell, Pearl City, Waialua
Track & Field Rules: This meet shall be governed by the current National Alliance Edition of Track and Field rules, published by the National federation of State High School Athletic Association.
Specific Objectives:
To promote the Leilehua Way (LHS- Leadership, Humility, & Service)
To determine the individual or team champions for both boys and girls.
To recognize the combined efforts of all individual participants in the meet.
To promote the highest principles of sportsmanship in Interscholastic Athletics.
Participation:
Participants may enter any four (4) track and field events. (Ex: 100, 200, 4X100, LJ)
Each school may enter only three (3) participants per running event and four (4) participants per field event in the meet.
Participants must be attired in their school uniforms.
Each school may enter only one team in each relay event.
All events will be timed finals.
Entry Deadline: The entry deadline is March 7th, 2013 (Thursday). Send entries and Team Manager roster file to Shawn Nakata lhstandf@yahoo.com and Earl Kishimoto menehunetrack@gmail.com.
Scoring: All events shall be scored: 8-6-4-2-1 (2011 NFHS Track and Field Rules)
Reporting: All participants must report to the Clerk of Course promptly upon hearing the last call or be scratched. First call 15 minutes before race time. Last call 5 minutes before race time. Participants will be dispersed to their respective starting areas immediately after being assigned their lanes.
Timers: One timer per school if needed; otherwise, meet will be run with FAT timing system.
