Schools are allowed two qualifying names that have met the QUALIFYING STANDARDS
OF THE OIA RELAYS. The Official Entry is your TEAM MANAGER EXPORT
ROSTER and ENTRY FILE. All teams must send a Hard Copy with name list event
entered. Any Athlete not listed on the DATABASE will be disqualified from competing.
RUNNING EVENTS: Each school will have one guaranteed runner and one alternate.
Each school will be allowed one entry, the remaining ten (10) slots will be filled by the next best times.
RELAYS: One (1) team per school. You may mix your varsity and jv runners for this meet.
WEIGHT PERSON’S RELAY: Participants must have thrown the shot putt or discus during the preseason meet. Coaches are to assure that the participant is a legitimate thrower. Participating in a field event (long jump etc) does not qualify the individual for this event. Placing a minimum of weight onto this event would not be prudent for the committee, but placing integrity on our coaches is/was a better decision.
FIELD EVENTS: Only the top twenty four (24) qualifying entries will be selected to participate in this meet and the entries will be placed into two (2) trial/final heats. Each participant will be given three (3) attempts. The entry committee will look at each school’s entry before allowing a second or possibly a third entry from the same school into any field event. The key issue to the field events “QUALIFYING MARK”…
All Schools: Are to sit on the far ends of the stadium bleachers or on the upper decks (second level) at Ted Fukushima Stadium. No tents will be allowed in the middle lower section of the stadium, this area will be reserved for our spectators. Tents will be allowed on each end/corner section of the bleachers and the upper deck of the stadium.
NO COOLERS ALLOWED. Coolers may be brought in with the participating schools. Teams are to advise their supporters that their coolers WILL NOT be allowed into the stadium.
NO OUTSIDE FOOD.. Kaiser Athletics will have a concession for the event. If you want to order ahead of time. Contact Kaiser Athletics 394-1200 x 5
Admission Charge. The OIA RELAYS is a CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT, admission will be charged at the entry gate. All participants are to be in uniform. Individuals (coaches and runners) entering with their school must be on the team roster/list. Inform your supporters, your runner’s parents and school members about the admission fee and tell them to support the OIA and their school. OIA PASSES will be accepted at the gate.
