eWorkshop on Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in the Online Environment
Our second "eWorkshop" took place on Wednesday, July 8th from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm. The workshop topic was UDL in the Online Environment. UDL is a framework for course design and implementation that recognizes, appeals to, and is accessible to a diversity of learners. In the workshop, we reviewed the principles of UDL, considered challenges that students might encounter in online courses, and then broke into three groups to discuss how to implement UDL for assessment, course materials, and engagement.
