SP Assessment Weekend

Noi-P. was invited by Samahang Pilipina (SP) on 21/22 November 2015 to join an Assessment Weekend in Luzern and celebrate their 30th year of existence.

Special guests were Sister Mary John Mananzan (St. Scholastica's College, Manila, left) and Irene Santiago (Philippine Women's College, Davao), who are both internationally recognized for their activism for women empowerment, inter alia.

3 female Noi-P. representatives joined in the discussions with around 20 more seasoned women leaders from across Switzerland and shared in the joys and challenges of leadership. But it was also a fun time of chika-chika, networking and exchanging ideas about subjects such as "identity", "nationality" and "spirituality". SP invited Noi-P. to participate and represent the younger generation of women living in Switzerland. Both guest speakers commended Noi-P. for the future they envision for global citizens and transnationals like themselves. Noi-P., in return, would like to thank them for being prime examples of what it means to be a Global Pinoy.

The weekend was held at Seminarhaus Bruchmatt, close to the lake. Nearly all expenses were shouldered by the organizers.
