Life after 219 has been very good! I retired in 2003 and have been active ever since. My wife, Judy, has been a dedicated volunteer for many years at Highland Park Hospital. I have been subbing at a couple of high schools nearby and have enjoyed the work immensely, probably because so many of the students I cross paths with are the sons and daughters of my life DURING 219. What a treat to see “familiar” faces.

Aside from our work schedule, we have a very busy family life. Our younger daughter, after adopting two beautiful children from Africa, moved with her family from Denver to Singapore! She and her husband Neil have been teaching at the Singapore American School for the past four years. Nevertheless, they have decided to move on to another adventure and they will be moving to Dubai over the summer to begin another teaching gig there. We get to travel a lot to visit our grandkids!

Our older daughter is an attorney in Milwaukee. She decided to go to law school at age 30, receiving a full scholarship at Marquette. She is with Halling and Cayo in Milwaukee representing lawyers and other credentialed professionals in licensing and disciplinary matters, as well as employment law and civil litigation. Her husband, Jason Haas is a Milwaukee county board supervisor. Ellison and Hari are our close by grandkids.

Judy and I have travelled quite a bit… our two visits to Singapore included stopovers in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto. We also spent time in Hanoi, Viet Nam, Siem Riep, Cambodia and Chang Mai, Thailand. Other trips included all the Hawaiian Islands, Panama, Canada, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia.
