Martyr Worthy West (3.5 miles)

This walk uses the Itchen Way and St Swithun's Way paths to form a gentle circular route to and from Martyr Worthy Church, although you could equally start and finish at the pub in Easton.

Park at the church in Martyr Worthy (grid ref SU 515 327) and take the footpath next to the churchyard heading west. Continue through fields across Easton Lane and under the motorway, keeping the river on your left.

Follow the path until you reach the A3047. Take care to walk about 70m left along the road to rejoin the path. This then loops back down to the river, where you cross at the beautiful Abbots Worthy Mill. Here you have a stretch including a paddle spot and clear streams.

After taking the footpath through the front drive of the Fulling Mill, take the southern Itchen Way Path to the left and continue until Easton Church.

Continue through this postcard village, turning left onto Easton Lane. On the right, take the footpath east. This loops back up through fields, across the river and back to Martyr Worthy.
