Required Qualifications for all SGA positions:
Every prospective candidate must be a part-time or full time, degree-seeking student at Notre Dame of Maryland University, and must plan to maintain that status throughout their term of office.
Every candidate must submit a signed statement declaring knowledge of and agreement with the election code and campaign rules.
Every prospective candidate for a Senate or Executive Board position, shall have at least a 2.5 GPA. All candidates must submit a document with the signature of the registrar confirming this status.
Additional Executive Board Position Expectations:
Perform all assigned duties diligently and timely.
Hold weekly office hours, at least 2.
Be punctual to and attend all executive board meetings & monthly senate meetings
Clearly and frequently communicate, as needed, with the rest of the executive board using the mode of communication decided upon (GroupMe, Text etc.)
Provide timely notice, at least 24 hours before, to the other board members if scheduled office hours and/or executive board meeting will be missed for that week due to extenuating circumstances (i.e., illness, mandatory class attendance at a workshop, etc.).
Please Note:
Executive Board members may not be an executive board member of any other organizations excluding honor societies and sororities during the same time period they will act as an SGA board member.
Candidates and representatives are required to be in good judicial standing with Notre Dame of Maryland University.
Good judicial standing as an elected or appointed student leader is defined as:
No judicial action within the past academic year at the University where the student was found responsible for any violations
No outstanding or incomplete sanctions, including probation terms and/or educational reflections
