Dear colleagues:
I would like to invite you to our 2014 meeting of Theory and Methodology in Configural Perception (TMCP2014) from September 26th to September 28th, 2014. The TMCP2014 meeting will be held at National Cheng Kung University, in Tainan, one of the oldest and the most visited cities in Taiwan.
At this meeting, we bring together a number of leading experts and scholars in the field of perception, cognition, and mathematical psychology from all over the world. We seek to both define the major problems underlying the field of configural processing (e.g., object perception, face perception, and scene perception) and to develop more unified ways of approaching these problems. In addition, we are also interested in the individual differences underlying configural processing (e.g., culture, sex, aging, cognitive ability, and psychosis). TMCP2014 will provide theoretical links between configural processing and higher visual-cognitive processes (e.g., decision making).
We are very happy to invite several experts at mathematical modeling and configural perception, Prof. James T. Townsend (Indiana University), Prof. Mario Fific (Grand Valley State University), Prof. Daniel R. Little (The University of Melbourne), and Prof. Joseph W. Houpt (Wright State University), to deliver keynote lectures and bring inspiration to our participants. We hope that our participants will gain inspiration and as well as latest information from TMCP2014.
I sincerely invite you to register in our meeting’s first-call during April 30th to September 1st, 2014. In addition, I encourage you to submit your abstracts for talk or poster starting from May 1st to July 1st, 2014.
If you would like to check more information, welcome to visit our website: http://www.tmcp.org/. Further information please directly contact with me (Dr. Cheng-Ta Yang; e-mail: yangct@mail.ncku.edu.tw) or the meeting secretary (Mr. Tabrio Huang, 黃延泰), via phone: +886-6-2386728 or e-mail: ncku.tmcp@gmail.com. The prompt response is necessary to allow sufficient time for official processing and transportation arrangements. We look forward to hearing from you soon and to seeing you in Tainan.
Sincerely yours,
