About TMCP

Welcome!

The 2014 meeting of Theory and Methodology in Configural Perception (TMCP) is to bring together specialists in the field of configurality research. We are happy to invite several experts at mathematical modeling and configural perception to deliver keynote lectures and bring inspiration to our participants.

During this meeting, we seek to both define the major problems underlying the field of configural processing (e.g., object perception, face perception, and scene perception) and to develop more unified ways of approaching these problems. In addition, we are also interested in the individual differences in configural processing (e.g., culture, sex, aging, cognitive ability, and psychosis). TMCP2014 is going to provide theoretical links between configural processing and higher visual-cognitive processes (e.g., decision making).

TMCP2014 will take place at National Cheng Kung University in Tainan City, Taiwan (ROC) (臺灣臺南市國立成功大學) during September 26th - September 28th, 2014. The local host is Prof. Cheng-Ta Yang (e-mail: yangct@mail.ncku.edu.tw). Your active participation will be greatly welcome and appreciated. We are looking forward to seeing you at TMCP2014.
