Mr. Mohd. Ishityak (2-year M.Tech 2015-2017)

He continued the work of his predecessor, Mr. L.S. Lingesh, in an attempt to achieve VIV lock-in. A sinosoidal lock-in of the cylinder oscillation with the vortex-shedding will pave the way for energy extraction. MTP presentation video here.

Spandana set-up video

Spring 2017 : A hollow PVC cylinder 92 cm long and 10 cm in diameter, named Spandana-090-10, achieved vortex-induced vibration lock-in, at current speed of 0.38 m/sec. An amplitude of 10 cm was achieved, with a steady sinosoidal behaviour.
