Ameya Nemaji Kannamwar
Mr. Ameya N Kannamwar Dual Degree 2010-2015, Asst. Surveyor, Indian Register of Shipping, Mumbai, India (2015-16), Oceanergy (Offshore Engg. Design and Energy Consultants), 2016 onwards.
He is the first experimentalist of our group. He studied the dry and wet vibration of a 1 metre span aerofoil wing, through the impact hammer test. The dry vibration test was done in the Structural Dynamic Lab, Dept. of Aerospace Engg, IIT KGP (courtesy Prof. D. K. Maity). The wet vibration test was done in the Dept. of Mechanical Engg. He also did the numerical analysis of both the experiments for verification. He won the best B.Tech project in 2014. MTP PPT video here.

Outdoor : Presented his work at SNAME Maritime Convention, Oct 2014, at Houston USA; with full institute funding. This paper won the Elmer Hann Award 2015. Video here
Forced vibration of the rudder, behind a rotating propeller downwash, was conducted at the Naval Science and Technology (NSTL), DRDO, Visakhapatnam; courtesy scientists Mr. Manu Korulla and Mr. P.C. Praveen. Mr. Kannamwar was assisted by Mr. Rahul Jindal.
