Mohd. Atif Siddiqui

Mr Mohd. Atif Siddiqui Dual Degree 2009-2014, PhD in Marine Technology, NTNU, Norway (2014-19)

He studied the hydroelastic interaction of axially loaded Timoshenko beams (with non-classical end-fixities) to hydrodynamic slamming-induced transient loads. This involves the two-way coupling between slamming hydrodynamic pressure and the elastic behavior of the continuously-changing wetted surface. Earlier, he studied the 1-way coupled interaction for axially loaded Mindlin's plates (with non-classical boundary conditions).

Outdoor : Presented his work on 1-way coupling dynamics of axially loaded Timoshenko beam in SCEE May 2013 in Malaysia. I presented his work at OMAE2013 (Nantes, France, June 2013) : video here. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKRT4vFwen8)
