During high school, this is an example of the first computer I used in computer lab. It ran very slow, the mouse was not wireless, and we saved our work on small disks. At the time, we thought this was the best computer ever made by anyone. For us, we did not have to type our research papers on a typewriter ever again.
I can remember how excited I was when I finally had my own desktop computer at home. At the time, the internet was dial-up and the popular email server was AOL. I remember how slow the interest was and how long it was to send an email. At the time, the wait time did not matter because I was finally on the internet. Times have really changed over the years and I see more changes occurring in technology each day and into the future.
In 2018, most desktop computers are without a large tower, many are now touchscreen, and the keyboard and mouse are wireless. We can save our documents on the computer or an amazing invention called The Cloud. The Cloud allows us to save our documents and look at them on any other device. It is amazing to me how technology has changed in almost thirty years and it will continue to improve each year in the future.
In 2018, we can carry our laptops anywhere with us and many years ago computers were so heavy that they could not be transported to other rooms. While in the past, there may have been only one version or company creating computers. Now, the companies building and creating computers are endless.
