Below you will find an example of what margin notes might look like for this project. These were printed out, but you can use Word as noted above if you don't have/don't want to print your sources.

What notes should you make in the margins? Whatever is interesting (maybe something that might make a good grabber), Be sure to include the subtopics that Mrs. Warner identified in you assignment sheet:  What is a story extension/story stretcher? Why is the story stretcher an important instructional method/strategy? 

Be sure to include the rest of the information that Mrs. Warner identified in you assignment sheet: Select a piece of early childhood literature and show how the piece can be stretched/extended to help develop the literacy skills of a preschooler.
