Your outlines are an important step to to give you feedback on the information/content and development of your project.
Your next submission will be when I, Mrs. W., will grade your first copy to give you feedback on your research, MLA style, and professionalism. Your first copy will be graded using the bottom three lines of the final rubric.
Notes and outline due at the beginning of class. Use the strategies to put information in your own words.
-Try the matrix, which can easily become the outline. (Add a section for the intro and the conclusion.)
--Download copy and type.
-See below for help completing an outline.
Please note:
You can expect to write around 6-8 body paragraphs for a three page paper.
Therefore, your outline would probably contain a minimum of 6-8 headings.
The packet with the graphic organizer on the front contains 9 topics.
If you add the Serling Film Festival (an option) or an analysis of one of Serling's works, this might help you organize paragraphs for the upcoming first copy.
Likewise, the other pages in the packet could help you organize an outline if you supplement with your own research/ideas and add the Festival and an analysis of one of Serling's projects.
Feel free to contact me for help, but remember that Mr. O will be grading the outline.
Here is a video to help you use MLA Lite to cite sources.
Here is a model of MLA style...and because of the color coding, you can see how the in text citation and the lead of the matching works cited are very clear.
