The “hour of coding” can be done anytime during December 9-13. There are some great photos from last year’s event here.
Try out any or all of the coding programs:
By the end of the week, Students will be able to complete Code Combat - Kithgard Dungeon World map by using Python coding. Make sure you are signed in using you Kings Canyon Google account.
2) Students will be able to design and create a mini-game using Minecraft Education. It has to be a 5 minute game play.
Examples:

- Work in a team of 2-6 to create a mini game for the class to play
-Design your world in a block of grass.
Possible game ideas:
*Battle Area
*Parkour Course
*Skywars Map
*Spleef Area
*Your own idea
Your game must have:
An initial spawnpoint for starting the game (/setworldspawn)
Another (checkpoint) spawnpoint for after you die (spawnpoint @p )
An NPC to share info/run commands
A title somewhere in the game (/title @p title §1Checkpoint!)
At least 3 command blocks
A creative/detailed world design (how it looks)
Border Blocks to limit where players can go

By the end of Quarter 2, student should be typing at 25 WPM with a 95% Accuracy.
