Riverview Film/Photography Club "The View's" productions

Riverview Gardens High School Film Club gives students a better understanding and appreciation of film as an art form. Students learn film terminology and explore the many different genres of motion pictures. As a club we examine the impact of film socially, culturally, and as a medium. Our club strives for a open interpretation and discussion on many movies. The films that will be viewed range from critically acclaimed films such as Citizen Kane to culturally popular films such as The Empire Strikes Back. The overall goal of the club is to enjoy film and gain a better conception of the magnitude of its value. We will investigate what the famous director Stanley Kubrick meant when he stated, “If it can be written, or thought, it can be filmed.” Our club members use their new knowledge to create their own films and videos.

This is Riverview Gardens High School original Hip-Hop video.  This video shows footage of our wrestling, softball, football, and basketball teams.  Also, we created our own "Harlem Shake" dance moves.

Professional animators, producers, and other media experts came to Riverview Gardens High school and taught our film/photography and math clubs about how create amazing videos.
