Collegiate School of Medicine and Bioscience High School Model United Nations Team

Collegiate School of Medicine and Bioscience High School's Model United Nations (UN) team is comprised of students that want to change the world. Our Model UN team is dedicated to identifying real world problems, examining the issues, and then coming up with possible solutions to alleviate them. Our Model UN members use scholastic and data-based research using valid primary and secondary resources to prevent, address and resolve differences. We take the point of view that “where there’s a problem there’s a solution.” Through a quest for understanding current world issues we believe that we can “be the change [we] want to see in the world.” –Mohandas K. Gandhi

Some of the issues we have tackled have been child labor, children soldiers, nuclear proliferation, human trafficking, resolving region tensions, deforestation and global warming to name a few. After we have researched and analyzed current issues, we created written resolutions to be presented before many other high schools in the Saint Louis Region to be either denied or confirmed as plausible solutions for the United Nations to enact. After thorough analysis by collaborating high schools, Civitas Model UN confirmed our previous resolution on child labor in the Democratic Republic of Congo.  We are immensely proud to announce that the resolution was not only validated, but also strongly supported by a majority of high schools in Saint Louis Civitas Model United Nations.

Collegiate School of Medicine and Bioscience High School's Model United Nations continues our depth of knowledge and goal of being informed and proactive world citizens through round table discussions; film investigation of real conflicts and data based research.  If you are a Collegiate student, come out and join the club.  GO OWLS!

One Generation, Under Trump (documentary featuring Collegiate Model UN students)
