Directions:
1. Go to Understanding Race
2. A. Click on the History icon
B. On the Left hand side you will see a box, click on the timeline movie icon in the box.
C. Watch the movie quietly and start taking notes in your notebook. Title your notes: Understanding Race - History.
D. Go back to the History page and in the left hand box, click on Government Timeline Articles (the link is in blue). You will see a list of many article that are broken into 3 categories: Government, Science, Society. Read the titles of the article and then choose 2 article to read and summarize. Your summaries should be 1/2 a page for each article. Your two articles can be from the same section. You can, for example, choose two articles from the science section if you wish.
3. A. Go back to the home page and click on the "Human Variation" icon.
B. Click on "The Human Spectrum" icon. A new page will appear in which you will learn a new concept. Read the material presented in that page, and interact with the page by clicking "NEXT" on the bottom of the page. After you read all the pages, In your notebook, summarize what you learned in this section and title it: "Human Variation - Human Spectrum". At the end click on Menu.
C. Click on "Our Molecular Selves" icon. Create a new title in your notebook called "Human Variation - Our Molecular Selves". In this section make sure to write a summary of each page. There are 3 pages, the first one contains a movie and the other two text. You should have 3 paragraphs in your notebooks explaining what you learned. At the end click on Menu
D. Click on the "Race and Human Variation" Icon. Title your notes appropriately and summarize each page in that section. You should have at least 4 paragraphs for that section. At the end click on Menu
E. Click on the "Health Connections" Icon. Title your notes appropriately and summarize each page in that section. At the end click on Menu
F. Take the Human Variation Quiz. Write your score on in your notes and reflect about what was most interesting and surprising about what you learned in the Human Variation Module. Click on "Home" to get back to the home page.
4. A. Click on "Lived Experiences"
B. Clock on each of the 6 icon in this section (Game of Life Experience, Sports Quiz, Race Blog, Global Census, Who is White?, A girl like me)
C. Choose 3 from the 6 to write about in your notes. Each section you choose should have a quarter of a page to half a page summary.
