STUDY SKILLS
4TH GRADE STUDY SKILLS - Under Construction!
Study Skills
Like Citizenship, Study Skills is not counted towards your student's grade point average (gpa), but it is an important indicator of success. If your student does not have well developed study skills, there is a good chance that their subject grades are low.
How to help?
Please help your student succeed by reinforcing the ideas behind having good study skills. Not only will they benefit, but everyone involved will benefit as well.
How it works?
If your student is not maintaining good study skills, they may not
be participating in the many 4th grade activities, field trips, parties, and the like, that are planned this year. In regards to your student's study skills, from my experiences as a parent, and teacher, if a situation is handled correctly, you will never have to deal with it again. Please hold your student to the highest expectations possible.

Why This Class is different?
There are many opportunities for success in this 4th grade class. First, I give up my recess and lunch recess to offer a makeup period for students. I allow them to redo, makeup, or finish any assignment that they need-with assistance. I also allow students to redo any assignment that they did not pass-as many times as they need to be successful-also with assistance. Lastly, I also offer a daily review period of concepts. Yes, that's right; I actually spend between 30-minutes and 1-hour reviewing materials from the previous day's lessons. If this is not enough for your student to be successful, in this class, then please call or e-mail me so that we can discuss this further.

One of the reasons behind my desire for our students to get Public Library cards this year is so they can use those cards to access the Library's many resources. Click above and use your library card to access.
