About Mr. B

My name is Jason Beavers. I am a 37 year old native of Atlanta, Georgia. I am married with a 13 year old son. I have a bachelors degree in biology from Georgia State University with a minor in organic chemistry. I am certified as a Georgia Master Teacher, have been selected as teacher of the year, and have had the honor of being chosen as STAR teacher. I have a passion for science and teaching is a way to share my passion and curiosity for the universe around me. I know many not-so-great science jokes and have a vast database of science facts in my head. I like to travel and hunt for rocks and minerals around the country. I can juggle, solve a Rubik's Cube, and spin a book on my finger. Please feel free to contact me any time regarding science class or science in general. Also, please do not forget to stay in contact regarding your child's grades and progress in the class. I look forward to having an amazing year with lots of learning and curiosity.
