This is an example for Ch1 Sec 1 Chapter Outline. Students will do this for every chapter, Ch1-17, for every section. Most chapters have three sections, some have four sections., There are three groupings and are not organized by unit. This assignment is due when the Class Readings (CRs) are due, see syllabus for due date. For review questions, students don't write the question, rather they must write the answer in a complete sentence. Follow this format exactly (see below).
Note: You must start each chapter in a new page. This assignment CANNOT be typed. It must be handwritten! ****Read This!!!***
Chapter # and Title: Ch1 What is Economics
Section # and Title: Sec 1 Scarcity and the Factors of Production
Section Focus: People, businesses, and governments must choose among limited or scarce resources. Economics describes how people seek to satisfy their needs and wants by choosing among many alternatives.
Applying Economic Concepts (pick any two):
#7) An economist may look at an assembly line and say, "There is an example of scarcity" because scarcity exists in all places, at all times.
#10) I agree with this statement because capital is a man-made resource used to produce other goods and services. If you buy a super duper oven to make more pizzas, this is an investment to make pizzas more efficiently and hence save money.
