Bushes have grown at edge of old braided spots, especially noticeable on the left upper side

The photo on left from 2009 shows braiding and damage to vegetation on the left where people had been avoiding the boggy centre now hardened with rock. The 2018 photo on the right shows this has recovered a lot and also the bushes have grown substantially. The soil between the rocks and the vegetation also seems to be deeper and will over time allow vegetation to establish
