Windy Moor

A series of photopoints was created in December 2016 to monitor the changes to Windy Moor following the installation of the hardening of the track with timber planking.

Each one has a page providing details and images over time. See the sub pages at dropdown box of the Windy Moor under the Mount Field East heading

A small marker has been placed at the waypoints and is attached to the right hand side when facing north (East side) of the planking.

Establishing the locations and details was not such a simple task. The original photos from 2016 were referred to in the field together with the coordinates (waypoint ) to match the photo to what it looked like in 2018. The planking now often went over or very close to the spot and we had to work out and document the direction and perspective of the original photo.

Follow up photos were taken in January 2022.
