Frequently Asked Questions
q.How did you build/create the gallery?
a. My husband, and co-owner, Jerry researched mini library schematics. Then he gathered scrap wood and materials and just sort of went to town. Here's a great resource: https://littlefreelibrary.org/build/ They also have kits if you don't want to do it on your own.
q. If I want to buy a piece of artwork, what do I do?
a. You can always email us at morrisonstreetminigallery@gmail.com Let us know what piece you want and at the end of the show, we can arrange for payment and pick-up. If you live out of town, there will be some additional shipping and handling added on to the price of the artwork. No international shipping, sorry!
q. Do you accept credit cards, paypal, etc?
a. Not directly yet. Right now we are are cash and check only. This is all very much in its' infancy stage. If it takes off and there's enough interest, perhaps we will in the future. If posted on my etsy, then more purchasing options are available.
q. Don't you have a day job?
a. Yup, we do! This is just a fun hobby.
q. Can I commission a custom mini work of art?
a. You can email me at morrisonstreetminigallery@gmail.com and we can discuss ideas and cost. I am passionate about teaching and don't often take the time to make my own artwork as often as one might think. I am typically doing demos and trying to help my students create amazing things. I am certainly open to the idea of custom work, but it might take a bit longer than it would for someone who works full time as a studio artist.
q.How can I submit work for the minigallery?
a. Send me an email with high quality photos of your work with dimesions and materials (3- 8 piecesthat are small enough to fit into our 14"x16" gallery). I hope this grows and I can feature more local artists. If your work is selected, we'll ask for an artist's statement and some business cards to include with the gallery for visitors.
