Breeder Referral

Finding a reputable dog breeder can be a confusing and daunting task You will want to visit the breeder's home to see how and where your puppy was raised, to see the puppy's parents and to meet the breeder. For that reason, it's best to begin by speaking with a local contact. That's what our breeder referral service is for!

We have contact information for responsible breeders in the Capital District, NY area - breeders who are glad to show you all of the above, who will gladly help you understand the pros AND cons of the breed you are considering. We also have rescue group resources and information on local dog shows where you can meet the breeds and their breeders in person.

As responsible breeders who follow a code of ethics, we do not breed so-called "designer" breeds and we breed for soundness of body and spirit. We are proud of the pure BREED we fell in love with and strive always to improve the health and beauty of our lines. We do NOT sell our puppies to dealers of any kind; they are raised and socialized in our family rooms, kitchens and living rooms where potential buyers become friends as they get to know us and we get to know them. We promise to ask lots of questions, to expect that you have done a bit of homework about the right breed for you, and to expect you to have plenty of questions for us. It's all part of the process of making sure our babies will be safe and loved by the right family, for their entire lives.
