Beyond the flipped classroom
Please read through and consider the following:
(a) If you were a student, how would you feel about the flipped lesson? Which one would you prefer – the didactic teaching approach or flipped classroom approach? Why?
(b) If you were a staff, how would you feel about a flipped meeting? Why?
(c) If you were a staff, how would you feel about a flipped workshop? Why?
(d) If you were a parent, how would you feel about a flipped Parent-teacher conference? Why?
Part 2: (group work) [15 min]
Perspective taking using a 1-min video
As a group, come up with a one minute video clip or comic strip that has the following components:
1. How you would flip your assigned platform - plans, strategies, communication etc.;
2. The pros and cons of flipping your assigned platform;
3. Any other implications of flipping your assigned platform.
Each group is to create the video / comic strip based on the following assigned platform. Please upload the video onto YouTube as a private video where only people with the URL can assess. Please refer to the Resources section at the bottom of the page for help on creating videos, comic strips and uploading videos onto YouTube.
Please provide us with the URL of your group's video before class begins by adding the URL below by signing in and clicking on the edit button on the top right-hand corner of the page, or by sending the softcopy of your comic strip to mr.clementchua@gmail.com.

Information on group presentations
This effort provides an opportunity to explore and experience at least two other dimensions of flipping: Learners as teachers and learners as content creators.
Participants also get to elaborate on the topic of the week or have a choice on what to teach and learn about flipping.
