Initiatives Taken for Effective Use of Curricu.

Initiatives taken for effective use of given curriculum:

Curriculum means a predesigned set syllabus to achieve a set target within a fixed time length. To attain the same bit by bit, step by step and period by period, I continue with the diverse tasks provided in the syllabus.

For the same, beforehand preparation of the lesson, preparing teaching diary, interlinking with the technology (on line learning through my website ,i.e., http://www.freewebs.com/mishramanojkumar/apps/calendar/showMonth?calID=1418807&indexRedirect=1) if need be, introduction of the lesson, word meaning drilling, content explanation, lexical and grammatical items dealt with, oral discussion on the content made, oral evaluation done on the spot, corrections done if need be, some exrapolatory questions distributed for lateral thinking, home work or assignment given on the task just completed are the regular exercises implemented in the classroom. Corrections and timely feed back are the habitual routine.

Involvement of the students on the web based learning (for the senior students, i.e., http://www.thinkquest.org/pls/html/think.go?u=433997613), monitoring their work, providing linguistic and technical support have been my religion.

·   Involvement in any curriculum modification

I have been a member of the review committee of the text books for class X English (Language and Literature) designed as per NCF 2005 in a work shop held at RIE Bhopal, MP in the year 2007 from 24/09/2007 to 27/09/2007. I designated the workshop as the Master Trainer. In this workshop following points were on focal discussion:

a.       Whether the content designed was as per the demand of the NCF 2005?

b.      Whether they meet all the norms (LSRW) of Learning English Language?

c.       What does the whole text book intend to?

d.      Whether the lessons included in them meet the demands of the global challenges?

e.       Activity based learning in the class room

It was quite a towering task which I accomplished successfully.

Development of an exhaustive Question Bank for the bright children and the Minimum Learning Capsule for the Poor Performers in association with some English teachers of Bhopal region was made at JNV Borai in the month of January 2008. The idea of conceiving it occurred in my mind and with the administrative support it was given a decipherable silhouette.
