We have conducted studies on the reproductive biology, especially focusing on the functions of sex steroid hormones during reproductive organ development and cancer formation. I am also interested in how environmental factors affect animal development; Sex determination in certain vertebrates depends on ambient temperature. Chemical released into environment could induce deleterious reproductive effects on wildlife. The current research topics are:
1. Effects of sex steroid hormones in reproductive organ development, homeostasis, and disease
2. Environmental impacts on the endocrine system and molecular study of steroid hormone receptors in fish
3. Temperature-dependent sex determination in reptiles
